Hospital Outreach (click here for flyer)

We provide outreach services to families in our partner hospitals that have Neonatal Intensive Care Units.  Our volunteers reach out to families and give NICU parents someone to answer questions and talk about concerns they maybe having about their child (ren).  Volunteers can share information to the families about preparing to go home and coping skills through out the experience of having a medically fragile child.   Each volunteer representing Parent Resource Network has experienced the Neonatal Unit and have been trained by our organization to provide families with the best information possible.

And, continue to get reminder calls through out the year about important dates and seasonal reminders-all you need to do is sign up for these important calls by calling our Toll Free line and asking to be placed on the parent mentoring list.

Bereavement Group  In 2008, we began a support group for families that have lost a child.  This bereavement group serves both Moms and Dads.  The Bereavement group meet at The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh 5324 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.  If you are interested in our bereavement program please contact our toll free line at 877.647.4373 ext 709 to leave a message for our parent volunteer or you can email our parent volunteer at bereavementservices@parentresourcenetwork.org.

NICU Families/With in 1st Year   Parent Resource Network would like to provide support groups for families that are in the NICU/with in the 1st year of discharge.
